While creating a reflective blog I have learned how blogs can be used with a metacognitive purpose.
So far, I have learned how to personalize blogs, with different backgrounds, fonts and layouts. I think there are useful gadgets we can add such as blog lists and labels.
It is a great idea to have a list of the blogs we have recently visited so that we can keep in touch.
Please, feel free to make comments and share your viewpoints with me.
I have already used a blog, an English class blog with students' work and blog lists for a teaching purpose. Therefore, I already have a google account and I just had to create a new blog.
This is the first time I use Nicenet. I had not even heard of it before but I think it is a good 2.0 tool for communication. Thank you for this opportunity.
Hello Roxana,
ReplyDeleteBlogs are a great tool to be in touch with students… yours has a pretty nice surrealistic view. Congratulations.
A metacognition process is developed in our students as far as they apply previous learning to acquire new one. A blog may encourage this process, no doubt.

Hi Fernando!
DeleteThank you for your comments.
I agree with you. I myself have been able to make connections while creating the blog and posting new entries. Thinking of blogs as possible interactive electronic journals makes sense! Indeed, they are assets to education.
Keep in touch!
Roxana
Hi Roxana, I also like the background of your blog - very funky. It will be great to exchange ideas on all the ways we can use blogs in our teaching and all the handy tools we can attach. The possibilities are endless!

Hi Janine! Thank you very much! I liked the background and playing around with the layouts and gadgets. I want to continue exploring with blogs.
DeleteI couldn't agree more with you! When it comes to blogs, the sky is the limit. I think they are raw materials, just like a piece of paper. We can shape them, share them and modify them as we see fit, according to our needs, preferences and goals.
