The conferencing topics have been very interesting.
Describing some issues has helped me reflect on the problems my students are experiencing in reference to language use, motivation and the difficulties I have to face when teaching in my context.

It's been great to know there are so many good websites to enhance the teaching of reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary!
I think we are creating a learning community in which we can continue sharing knowledge and information by participating in conferences in Nicenet and using Delicious.
Sharing our experiences leads to reflection. Thinking of the problems we are facing and of possible solutions is crucial for our learning process in this course. I see some of us have similar problems but we have a different context and we may come up with different solutions according to our teaching styles and frames of mind. This course is enriching us as professional teachers.
What do you think about it?

ReplyDeleteHello Roxana,
Thank you for sharing your blog.
Your words “Sharing our experiences leads to reflection…” do make us reflect in our own learning process. Many teachers participating in this course have very similar problems because the contexts we teach in are alike. The learning community we are building is an effective way to receive feedback, and it should be a good idea we could encourage our students to build themselves one on their own. They are very skilled in web tool, creative and imaginative; let’s encourage and guide them and the results might be amazing.
Kind regards,
Fernando
Hello Roxana
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your wonderful blog.
Your reflection makes me think the way as human beings differ from culture but at the same time are united as a family, and this is what we are, your problems are different from mine, but with your reflection, feedback we can build ourselves.
so let us continue sharing ideas and knowledge to help us one another.
Regards,
Juan Garcia
Thank you, Juan, for your valuable feedback! I agree with you. Cultures may differ but we have something in common: we are human beings, named teachers, who wants to make a change for the better.
DeleteDear Roxana!
ReplyDeleteCreating an enhanced lesson plan has been clarifying for me too. It is a total transition for me because it is like two different things at once. That makes us multitask isn't it? I like the Giants website too. I found it very useful especially for teens. Also agree with you how sharing our experiences are helping us to be better teachers. It is interesting to learn the different approaches every teacher can make to a single subject.
Greetings
Hello, Reoxana!
DeleteI absolutely agree with the idea that sharing educational insights with those who in the same field could enrich more than any other experiences. Their comments are very practical and valuable to apply them right to the class of the day. With the time, I really appreciate this program not because of the academic challenges that I have but because of the social bond that I can connected to. I think it will be better for us to create an alumni webpage for the better teaching in every corner of the world.
Is there any good place to dwell on?
Thank you for your valuable feedback!
